Each year, SSWAA hosts Board elections for open positions on the SSWAA Board of Directors. Board Members are responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and fiduciary responsibility for the Association. Serving on the SSWAA Board is an opportunity to contribute to advancing the profession of school social work, connect with colleagues from across the country, and help strengthen SSWAA’s mission and impact.

Nominations for the SSWAA Board of Directors are open through October 23, 2026. If you, or someone you know, has the experience, commitment, and vision to help lead our national association, we'd love to hear from you.
This year, we're seeking nominations for the following positions: Midwest Regional Representative, Northeast Regional Representative, At-Large Member, Treasurer, and Student Representative (appointed position).

Election Process
Applicant: Anyone who submits a nomination application.
Candidate: Applicants selected by the Nominations Committee to appear on the ballot (after interview and training).
Nominee Slate: Each open position will have 2-3 candidates slated.
