2023 In Review

As we gear up for a well-deserved Winter Break, we wanted to share a little recap of the incredible journey we've had at SSWAA this past year. It's been a whirlwind of hard work, sold-out conferences, and heartfelt moments, and we can't wait to spill the tea on all the highlights.

Our fantastic team here at SSWAA has been burning the midnight oil, crunching numbers, and putting the finishing touches on our end-of-year metrics. Yep, we're talking about the nitty-gritty stuff that helps us understand just how impactful our collective efforts have been.

This year our already robust member benefits had some extra additions, including:

• Office Hours for informal networking

• Journal access as an added member benefit

• Release of SSWAA.ed - online learning

• Development of a Speakers' Bureau

• SSWRL enhanced search feature with built-in AI

• Increased partnerships

• Advocacy through increased coalition participation

• Additional staff hours to better serve you!

We also celebrate some wonderful statistics, none of which could have been done without your support:

• 2023 SOLD OUT conference

• 2024 SOLD OUT conference

• 29% increase in SSWAA membership

• 4 FREE webinar events added

• 12 new Nationally Certified School Social Workers

• Alaska and Utah became SSWAA State Affiliates

In the midst of the holiday hustle, we've pressed pause to reflect on the past year. It's easy to get lost in the data, but behind those numbers are countless stories of positive change, collaboration, and unwavering support for our school social workers. We know the impact YOU make every day in your communities can't always be measured with numbers. But we know the lasting impact you are making on generations of families. As always, we stand by in solidarity and in support.

So, here's to every one of you who has been a part of our journey in 2023. Whether you're a dedicated school social worker, a passionate supporter, or a newcomer to the SSWAA family, your contributions have made a difference.
