2020 National School Social Work Conference

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND

At this time, SSWAA has been able to secure new dates for our 23rd National Conference.  We will be holding the rescheduled conference at the same hotel, the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, on Saturday, June 27 through Tuesday, June 30, 2020.  The Pre-Conference Forums will be on Saturday, with the Full Conference running Sunday through Tuesday.

Please know that we realize that these dates may not be ideal for everyone.  This situation is not ideal.  Many conferences were cancelling like ours and looking to reschedule and therefore the dates available were limited.  SSWAA wanted to keep the conference in the same fiscal year to help attendees who had already gained approval for travel and training.

SSWAA will be offering an in-person event and encourage as many as are able to come to the live conference to gain ALL benefits: professional learning, resources, and networking.  However, for those individuals not able or available to travel over those dates in June, we will be offering a virtual option.  An email has been sent to all conference registrants with their options for the rescheduled event.

Additionally, in the coming weeks, SSWAA will also open registration for any who would like to join us in person for our 2020 Conference, now being held in June.

Finally, we realize that this situation has been frustrating and unexpected for you, just like it has been for us as an organization.  Thank you for your grace and persistence through these challenging times.  We look forward to seeing you at the 2020 National Conference or at future SSWAA events.  We value you and your contribution to our profession.

This year's theme is sure to highlight the vital role that School Social Workers play in school communities as they promote welcoming school environments, offer hope and meaningful support, and guide students and families through challenges and adversity.
