The School Social Work Association of America was proud to present the 2012 National School Social Work Conferencesm in Boston.  We were thrilled to have Dr. George Sugai, Co-Director of the OSEP Center for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports as our Opening Keynote speaker.  Our Closing Keynote was presented by Dr. James Herbert Williams from the University of Denver: “Addressing the Challenges Affecting African Americans’ Academic Achievement”.  Myrna Mandlawitz, SSWAA Governmental Relations, addressed the current legislative issues impacting school social workers.  Pre-Conference presenters included Dr. Ross Greene from Harvard University and author of The Explosive Child and Lost at School.
