The 18th National School Social Work Conferencesm was held in the musical city of Nashville, Tennessee!   We were energized to have our Opening Keynote Speaker, Tara Brown, addressing "Survive and Thrive: Unleashing the Potential of Under-resourced Youth”; Myrna Mandlawitz, Esq, Libby Nealis and Doug Spohn (SSWAA Government Relations Team address "All Aboard for Washington" and our Closing Keynote Speaker, Dr. Andy Frey present on “Coaching in Schools: Implementation Fidelity is Rocket Science”.   Armed with new strategies, insights, research based findings, materials, curriculum and resources; school social workers returned to their schools re-energized to address the many barriers to students’ learning and educational success.   To view photos from the conference, click here. Conference Hotel Information

We received a very warm, southern welcome from the Sheraton Music City Hotel.  Many of us connected to the bustling heart of downtown Nashville oozing country music from every doorway.  Others enjoyed an evening at the The Grande Ole Opry and shopping at the Opry Mills Mall and much more.
