Oakland Schools Social Work Consultant, Steve Whitmore, is interested in how educators use tablet applications and websites to improve socio-emotional learning. More specifically, he is interested in those applications and websites used on I-pads and other tablets that address the learning, practicing and/or improving of:
• coping skills,
• social and friendship skills,
• teamwork skills,
• decision making/problem-solving skills,
• finding emotional support (including social media),
• finding mental health/traumatic event information and resources,
• executive functioning,
• organization, and/or
• academic engagement.
