The School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) would like to invite you to join us in spectacular Nashville beginning Wednesday, April 15 until Saturday, April 18, 2015 for the 18th National School Social Work Conferencesm. The annual SSWAA Conference is the only national conference devoted exclusively to the School Social Work profession! Attend numerous CEU sessions lead by nationally recognized leaders in the profession focusing on issues and skills critical to School Social Workers. Spend time networking with colleagues from around the country and the world as you exchange intervention strategies and best practices. Visit our exhibit hall showcasing innovative resources, educational services and numerous products to restock your libraries, assessment tool kits and treasure chests of activities. It's not too early to start talking with your Supervisor regarding permission to attend. Conference Hotel Information

Save on Travel:
If you are coming from near or coming from far, travel to Nashville is less expensive than you would think. You can save hundreds of dollars by booking your flight EARLY and/or using sites like Airfarewatchdog.com, Farecompare.com, KAYAK and others to watch for the lowest fares. You can also try checking airfares on Tuesdays and midweek rather than the weekend when rates tend to go up.

Bus Shuttles to Downtown and the Mall:
Bus shuttles have been arranged to downtown with returns roughly on a half hour schedule on Thursday and Friday nights. There will also be one bus available to take attendees to the Opry Mills Mall on Thursday night at 5:45 p.m. The cost is $10 for a round trip bus ticket per night. Since there is a limited number of tickets available, please purchase your tickets via SSWAA’s on-line store NOW. If you want to get downtown or to the mall at a specific time, you may want to look into other options like a taxi or local bus shuttle. A detailed bus schedule will be posted on site. Explore the Conference Brochure and review the many fabulous pertinent and useful Pre-Conference and Workshop Sessions providing up to 21.5 CEUs. Tara Brown will provide the Opening Keynote “Survive and Thrive: Unleashing the Potential of Under-resourced Youth” on Thursday morning. Tara believes strongly that kids are committed to people - not programs - and that a key to reaching youth is through the power of positive connections. On Friday, SSWAA's Legislative Team, Myrna Mandlawitz, Libby Nealis, and Doug Spohn, will co-present a motivating and powerful message on the importance of advocacy in Washington and for our profession. We are also pleased to have Dr. Andy Frey from the University of Louisville as our Saturday Keynote Speaker on “Coaching in Schools: Implementation Fidelity is Rocket Science”. Read more.

If you are not currently a member, your "Non-member" Full or Pre & Full Conference rate will include one year's SSWAA membership unless you choose to "Opt out" (field provided on registration form). REFUND POLICY: All cancellations MUST be in writing. Written requests postmarked before March 23, 2015 will be refunded minus a 25% administrative fee. There will be no refunds after March 23, 2015.
As in the past, handouts will NOT be provided at the conference. Please note that Internet service will also NOT be available in the breakout rooms so be sure to download and bring with you electronically or as hard copy.
