18th National School Social Work Conferencesm

April 15 - 18, 2015

Doing fabulous things in your district?  Have a great tool you are using to measure outcomes?  Have you been using evidence based practices you would like to share?  Do you have a wealth of experience in a topic of interest to School Social Workers?  Have you been conducting research impacting services provided by school social workers?   We need you to share your expertise and experience with others.    Workshop Session and Keynote proposals are now being accepted.   Students and/or faculty are also encouraged to submit Poster Session Proposals.  Every year we have a few  more and would like to highlight research projects even more.   CORRECT CONFERENCE ADDRESS:  PO Box 203844, Austin, TX 78720     Please feel free to email as well to conference@sswaa.org which also forwards to rkunkel@sswaa.org.

Please keep in mind: School Social Workers want to leave energized with new strategies, skill sets, evidence based programs and assessment/outcome data tools that they can implement and utilize when they return to their schools. If you are presenting research findings or products, be sure to also include a significant amount of time to cover implications for school social work practice, intervention strategies and/or materials that can actually be utilized in School Social Work practice. Workshop feedback indicates that sometimes too much time is spent on "admiring the problem" or the research methodology. School Social Workers want to leave knowing what to do.
