SSWAA's Free Research Webinar Series
Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 1-2:30 CST
The School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) is pleased to offer a FREE webinar series on research topics related to school social work. The next webinar in the 2012-2013 series will be offered on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 1:00-2:30 CST pm. The topic and learning objectives are as follows:
"Ethics in School Social Work"
Quick answers and simple solutions seldom work for ethical predicaments. Beginning with an introduction to the moral, legal, and clinical foundations that undergird ethical practice, the presenter will outline a seven-step approach to ethical decision making. These steps include: Knowing yourself; analyzing the dilemma; seeking consultation; identifying courses of action; managing the clinical concerns; enacting the decision; and reflecting on the process. Practical cases will be used to make these steps come alive for workshop participants.
