This workshop will focus on creating equitable and inclusive schools that meet the needs of immigrant parents and students.  The workshop will address issues of engaging immigrant parents, supporting undocumented students and their families, working with immigrant parents from a cultural humility approach and best practices for this population. A case example of one high school that has implemented various equity programs will be highlighted.

Presentation Learning Objectives Include:

1.       Understand the difference between cultural competence and cultural humility

2.       Learn about models of immigrant integration and practice implications. 

3.       Learn ways to support and promote equity for immigrant children and their parents


The School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) is pleased to offer a webinar series on research topics related to school social work.   Please note that all webinars are being recorded and will be available even if you are not able to attend during the actual webinar event.

Member rate for individual Webinars will be $25 (1.5 CEUs per Webinar) or a Package of 5 Webinars for $100. 

Non-Member Rate for individual Webinars will be $40 and $160 for a Package of 5 Webinars.
