Brief Description:

Today, you can shop for your groceries online, have dinner delivered via an app, and tweet about it all within the hour - and never have to leave your house. With technology advancing more and more each day, the lines between personal and professional use of social media become more blurred. This webinar will provide a basic overview of social media tools, how to use these tools professionally within social work (while preserving personal and professional boundaries), and end with a discussion on ethical situations you may encounter while in the field. There will be time throughout the webinar and at the end for questions.

Learning Goals:

1. Attendees will become familiar with common and rising social media tools
2. Attendees will learn of ways to professionally use social media tools
3. Attendees will discuss ethical implications of social media via scenarios
