Dr. Franklin has a highly distinguished academic career conducting research, publishing, teaching, and providing service in the field of youth services, primarily focused on school settings. Anyone who has studied school social work has surely read Dr. Franklin's work as she is a prolific author. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, books, book chapters, and technical reports. Dr. Franklin is an internationally known expert in Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). She has made dozens of presentations on school social work at both international and national conference, including SSWAA conferences. Most recently, she was the invited keynote speaker in Asia and Europe where she focused on training teachers and school professionals in SFBT. There is no doubt that Dr. Franklin is one of the top researchers I the field of school social work. She is a tireless advocate for school social work services and has dedicated her career to serving youth with a focus of doing so through school settings. Her work has had a tremendous impact on school-based services and school social work.
